Who will carry the iPhone?

Here’s a poser…

Which telco, in you opinion, will win carrier rights to Apple’s new iPhone in Malaysia? Will be Celcom, Maxis or DiGi?

And how much will it cost?

02 will carry the iPhone in UK while it is well known that AT&T carries the iPhone in the US. Already, rumour has it that over 1 million AT&T activations have been counted. What ever the criticisms, no one can argue will one million units sold.

Steve Jobs has to be credited for managing to hype and sell a smartphone without 3G capability.

Solar powered jacket

Zegna is a brand associated with luxury ties and clothing. So you know when they put their best minds to design a portable battery charger, it has to look good-it also has to be worn.

For those lady readers out there, this luscious Italian model is for your drooling pleasure.

Yep, from the title of this post, solar cells located at the collar absorb sunlight and store up the electric charge in a buffer battery. It can power up iPods, mobile phones and most portable electronic gadgetry.

Embarassing Malaysian attitudes

What is the world’s number one blog?

Engadget.com which covers tech news from all over the world. Well, it goes without saying that the name ‘Engadget’ itself is actually a business name and hence is trademark protected. (Much like the way MILO is a trademark)

But apparently some dudes in Sunway Pyramid thought its okay to take piracy to the next level by not only copying the name, but the font layout as well. Go here for the story.

This is major embarassment to our country. (Just read the comments on the post.) If anyone knows the owners of the store, tell them to take down the sign and find a better name for their company.

Nintendo Wii related injuries!!??

My housemate’s brother bought a Nintendo Wii lately and sometimes would bring it over to play. As they were tennis fans, she and her husband would usually spend their time playing Tennis on WiiSports.

Now, it seems that even in simulcara, real life injuries do pop up too. Excerpt from a report from CNN,

BOSTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) — When Dr. Julio Bonis awoke one Sunday morning with a sore shoulder, he could not figure out what he had done. It felt like a sports injury, but he had been a bit of a couch potato lately. Then he remembered his new Wii.

Bonis, 29, had spent hours playing Nintendo Co.’s new video game in which players simulate real movements. Bonis had been playing simulated tennis.

It was not quite tennis elbow, he decided.

Actually, it just had to happen.
