Marriages over the weekend.

I had the privilege of attending one of my EXCO’s wedding last Saturday. For obvious reasons of privacy I won’t post their pictures up although I managed to take one of theirs. Several other shots I took with other friends you can see on the flickr sidebar.

But of course a far more interesting wedding must be Pak Lah’s akad nikah to Jeanne Abdullah. Besides the hush hush and the rebellion I must say one thing as well:

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is one hell of an astute politician. Just when morale in his leadership was at an all time low, he has the knack to announce his wedding plans. Aaah….clever, clever.

Wedding invites

This certainly has to be to the most creative wedding invitation ever.

And that is one hell of a wedding photo. It’s actually Joanne and Jian Ming. Joanne was my CG coordinator back in EXCO then while Jian Ming was a secondary school teacher.

PCM meeting

Mrs. Wong invited me to her PCM group today. Had a heavy tea, which doubled up as my dinner!

But attending the PCM made me think about CF during my hostelite days. I miss those times. Miss the worship, discussion, the laughter (and tears) and the general nonsense that people do when they meet up together. Of course, ehem….there was also certain someone that I would ‘want’ to meet there…

It was the joy of working together to achieve something as well. The first Jesus screening I organized in my first year, all the combined CG meets, the welcome suppers and christmas dinner during my second, the evangelistic exam blessing in my third and baking cookies for exam blessing in my final year.

Somehow there is something about CF that will never be replicated elsewhere. Something about the close bond of fellowship forged by communal living, sealed by the spirit of the living God. Something just different…
