Stupid, stupid, stupid!

This is shameful.

Talk about ‘not ready’ or ’sensitive’ is flatly contradicted by this successful event organized by DAP recently. Photos clearly show Malaysian’s of ALL races sit (some stood) in common to hear panelists from all parties.

But then again, someone whose vocabulary is limited to “Bodoh, bodoh, bodoh” can’t be expected to say anything intelligent right.

With replies like the above, you can’t blame me for saying that Nazri should be given the middle finger lest we get the idea that Badawi is a double minded man-without any integrity-saying anything that he likes whenever the situation suits him. It’s like saying that because Badawi has no power during an official visit to Saudi Arabia, that he is free to insult Christianity because ‘the matter of sensitivity does not arise abroad’.

Nice one Nazri.

There are many unconscious assumptions about power that Nazri is making that it scares me just to think about it. It scares me to think that the office of PM in Malaysia is so ‘powerful’, that one cannot be honest, saying what is true and noble because one might incite a riot.

What delicious irony here.

Should I cry, shout, curse or be indifferent?

Of praise and self-esteem

Had an epiphany lately.

Of the more interesting things about keeping a blog is that I get to record down reactions when people find about what I am currently doing for a living.

” Oooh, you must be really smart..”

” Wah…” and they give me that look which says, ‘Intelligent guy’ all over it.

My sister will afford me the more down-to-earth (but 100% correct) ” Nerd!”

There is no one (with the exception of my parents) who will congratulate me in the following sense: “You must have worked very hard for it.”

I find it kind of strange. But ultimately not very surprising. A layman usually associates mathematics with being clever, as though the two are synonyms.

That of course is incorrect. Mathematics is what I like to do, and because I like to do it, naturally, I work hard at it.  The fruits of my effort so far is my bachelor’s degree. That’s all there is to it-not that I have any innate ability or affinity towards numbers.

The same could be said of starting a business, blogging, being a musician or doing any other daytime job.
