I didn’t like Shrek the Third. Period.

” What are you looking at…”
I went for a morning show (10.55 am to be exact) and I was the only single adult there!
But it is to be expected-a kiddie show lacking the depth and charm of the first two.
Shrek and Fiona’s relationship has always provided the dramatic impetus for the series-a romantic comedy at heart. What I don’t get in this 3rd installment is why the writers chose to explore the tension between Shrek and a newcomer Arthur instead of developing the parent’s-to-be relationship?
Arthur? Who the hell is he? I just don’t get Arthur….was he even implied in Shrek 1 and 2?

“Do I look stoned?” ” Yeah…totally”
Of all things, Fiona pregnant and the writers chose to send Shrek away to some ridiculous boarding/high school which didn’t even take up 30 minutes of story development. Wasted opportunity if you ask me.
No, the story didn’t work for me and the jokes were cliche. 2.5/5, don’t bother renting the DVD.

“Sigh…not another one”
