Watched Eisenheim the Illusionist today on DVD. Great show, overshadowed unfortunately by the more marketable (Hugh Jackman factor perhaps?) The Prestige.
Based on a short story by Steven Millhauser, I loved it for its intense acting and superb characterization. I actually jumped at the tantrums of Prince Leopold played by Rufus Sewell. But the show certainly belonged to this two distinguished actors.

Paul Giamatti and Edward Norton were certainly caught up in their private cat-and-mouse chase. And they never cease to thrill me with their performances both lending a wonderful nuance to their act. I missed Edward since Fight Club and its good to see him in a film again (not to imply that he’s been on a hiatus of course.)
But the clincher would certainly be the twist at the end. I think all great stories end with a twist to the end, don’t you?
